What is Farsi Nevis?​

Farsi Nevis (فارسی نویس) is a smart Persian keyboard for iPhone and iPad. Type Farsi words with English letters (Pinglish, also called Finglish) and the keyboard converts them to Farsi script as you type. It also includes AI writing tools, dictation, translation, and themes.

Which devices support Farsi Nevis?​

Farsi Nevis is available for iPhone and iPad running iOS 16.0 or later. Download it from the App Store.

Is Farsi Nevis free to use?​

Farsi Nevis is free to download, with an optional Pro upgrade. Typing, Pinglish-to-Farsi conversion, smart suggestions, the Persian layout, clips, emoji, and the standard themes are free. Dictation, translation, and AI writing tools each come with a free monthly allowance, with a bigger welcome allowance in your first calendar month. Farsi Nevis Pro makes all three unlimited and adds premium themes and exclusive app icons.

How accurate is Pinglish-to-Farsi conversion?​

Most everyday words convert correctly, and the dictionary keeps growing from real-world corrections. The keyboard pairs a rule engine with over 100,000 of those corrections, and it converts most words right on your device. If a word converts differently than you intended, tap the Pinglish chip above the keyboard to pick another spelling or edit the word in place.

Can I use Farsi Nevis offline?​

Yes. Typing, Pinglish-to-Farsi conversion, and smart suggestions work offline. Dictation, translation, and AI writing tools need an internet connection.

How do I turn on the Farsi Nevis keyboard?​

Do I need to allow Full Access?​

No. Without Full Access you can still type, convert Pinglish to Farsi, and use your themes and clips. Turning it on lets the keyboard go online for translation, AI writing tools, better conversion of uncommon words, and pasting from the clipboard.

Why isn't the keyboard showing up after installation?​

Try these:

  1. Check that Farsi Nevis is turned on in Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards
  2. Restart your device
  3. Make sure the app is up to date

How secure is my typing data?​

We never log your keystrokes or send whole messages while you type. Most words convert on your device. With Full Access, a word that isn't in the on-device dictionary is sent by itself for conversion and kept only in aggregate, with no account or ID attached. Translation and AI writing tools send only the text you choose, and dictation streams audio only while you dictate. Everything online uses encrypted connections.

How does dictation (voice typing) work?​

Tap the microphone on the keyboard toolbar. The Farsi Nevis app opens and starts listening right away — your words appear as you speak. When you switch back to the app you were typing in, the transcript is waiting on the keyboard: tap it to paste. See the dictation guide for details.

Can I use custom themes?​

Yes. Pick a theme from the gallery in the app to change your keyboard's colors and background. Premium themes are included with Farsi Nevis Pro.

How does translation work?​

Open translation from the keyboard toolbar, type or paste your text, pick a target language, and tap the translate button. It supports English, French, Spanish, Turkish, Arabic, German, Dutch, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Swedish, and Chinese. Translation needs Full Access and an internet connection, and comes with a free monthly allowance. See the translation guide.

Can I use Farsi Nevis with other apps?​

Yes. Farsi Nevis works in almost any app — messaging, social media, email, notes, and word processors. iOS doesn't allow third-party keyboards in password and phone-number fields, and some apps choose not to allow them.
